You may have been thinking about surgery or other painful methods of getting rid of the pain. However, did you know that there are a lot of simple exercises that can greatly reduce the chance of getting carpal tunnel? If you just deal with the pain, and do not do anything to try and take it away, the symptoms will get worse and become completely out of control.</p>
<p>There are so many remedies out there that you can use but only a handful that are effective. You will be surprised to know that a lot of these remedies that you can choose will not change your lifestyle daily. However, since you have neglected your hands to this point we are going if we can get them back in good shape. Imagine being able to go to work stress free, without that constant pain always on your mind.</p>
<p>The results you get can be very stressful when you realize that having carpal tunnel can take away from your job, and keep you from doing normal things around your house. Carpal tunnel syndrome starts when the median nerve running down your arm, and through your wrist gets compressed. Everything there is held by a ligament called the transverse carpal ligament. When the pressure comes down on the transverse carpal ligament, due to poor posture, the ligament becomes tight and tense. This pressure will then be put on the median nerve.</p>

<p>This syndrome that will target a variety of different professions, and both men and women. Although it is a proven fact that CTS is more commonly found in women, a good majority of men can get it to. Some of the most commonly affected professions or hobbies for CTS include:</p>

<p>While some might think that you can only get CTS from putting strain on hands, forearms, and wrists is the only way to get CTS is wrong. Some health conditions and everyday things that you do can cause it to such as:</p>

Often people experience an inability to hold even lightweight objects as they experience a loss of the ability to grip objects. Immediately following a diagnosis, a person is required to wear a brace to help manage pain by correcting the posture of the hands and preventing the condition from worsening. However, surgery is often prescribed for more severe cases. However, many have managed to forgo surgery and escape the pain of this condition through the use of carpal tunnel massage techniques.</p>
<p>Though these massage techniques are not widely prescribed yet, there are studies that indicate that the pain levels are decreased when a person receives regular treatment from a massage therapist coupled with some easy self massage methods that can be done at home. The best time to do the self massage is at night, when the pain is usually the most intense. One recent study was done the split carpal tunnel syndrome sufferers into two test groups. One group did the carpal tunnel massage techniques themselves in combination with professional massage therapy. After one month, these participants reported an improved grip, lower pain levels, and showed less signs of depression. Unfortunately, depression is commonly associated with this condition. The group that didn&#8217;t participate in any kind of massage therapy showed no signs of improvement. The medical community is insisting on more research before recommending this treatment plan to their patients, but these early studies show promise.</p>
<p>The self massage techniques are simply. The person should rub the forearm using pressurizes, short stokes that last 2 &#8211; 3 seconds each. The same strokes should be done on the palms with strokes that are slightly lighter applied to the area of the wrist. Carpal tunnel massage should be done at least one and day, more often if necessary. After doing the massage therapy for 2 &#8211; 3 weeks, a person can expect a reduction in the pain. By continuing this course of treatment for several months is may be possible to entirely reverse the condition.</p>
<p>Carpal tunnel can also be caused by shoulder, back and neck stress. It is very helpful to get regular massages that concentrate on these areas. If a person has been fortunate enough to have avoided developing the condition, this will go a long way to prevent the onset of carpal tunnel syndrome. People that do tasks that require repetitive movements should have regular massages since they are at a higher risk than some others for developing carpal tunnel syndrome.</p>
<p>Exercises that require stretching, resistance and squeezing of the hands, wrists, fingers, and arms, can be very helpful. By regularly using a stress ball to help with squeezing and resistance, or using range of motion exercise that slowly rotate wrists and stretch fingers, blood can begin to properly circulate in the damaged region and give relief to swelling and pressure on the median nerve located in the wrist&#8217;s carpal tunnel.</p>
<p>Those who have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome and who are already wearing a brace to try to correct the disorder are advised to continue with this method. <p>You have to remember that your hands are a precious asset. The fact of the matter is that there is not much that you can do without them.
