			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have you ever had a premonition? What makes a person know something is going to happen before it actually does? Is it a paranormal event or is it just a feeling that we have that things are not as they should be? Scientists do not believe in premonitions. They believe in what they know as fact. However, there have been many recorded instances of people knowing or having a feeling about an event before it happened.</p>
<p>Can the future be seen?</p>
<p>A specific example that premonitions exist is found in the recordings of Ian Stevenson, a professor of psychiatry and Canadian biochemist. He was able to record over nineteen different premonitions that his patients told him about just two weeks prior to the Titanic setting sail. These premonitions were of people that had canceled their trip because they felt like there was something negative going to happen and some from people that had dreams of the disaster occurring.</p>
<p>Premonitions, by all accounts of those who have had them, are not pleasant. They are accompanied by either fright or uneasiness over what they feel is about to happen. The people who have the premonitions often do not know what will happen but they know it is not good.</p>
<p>People do not realize how common it is to have a premonition. The subject of a premonition is almost always someone or something that has direct impact on you. They show up in a variety of ways. Dreams and feelings are some of them. Some call it a sixth sense.</p>
<p>Many of the premonitions are regarding robberies, murders, death, accidents and plane crashes. These are the most common types that are experienced. The incident typically happens very close, in a matter of hours, from when the person has the premonition. The dream comes with the emotional feeling of discomfort and leaves them feeling very uneasy. They are very able to explain how much dread they feel once they have had a premonition of this type.</p>
<p>There are also dreams that leave nothing to question as to what will happen. They are very clear and the person that is having the dream actually witnesses something happening to someone that they love whether it be a family member or someone else that they are close to. It can be extremely upsetting to have a dream like this and it is usually something that is blocked from their memory to protect themselves. They may be able to put it to the back of their mind until the event actually occurs.</p>
<p>Can premonitions actually be from another world? A premonition is something you see as a dream or a feeling that you get. The apprehension in your life tends to lead to a premonition about things that are yet to come but it is not always clear what it will be. Premonitions are very sense oriented.</p>
<p>Could it be that things are happening in another dimension and we are seeing it in a premonition? It could be that when we go to sleep we are actually seeing the things that are happening in the other dimension. The theory of astral projection may just fit with this explanation.</p>
<p>Is this really something that we cannot believe is happening? People throughout history have been the victim of ridicule because they believe something that most feel is impossible. Do you think that people actually believed that a man would be on the moon at some point? If someone would have brought up the idea in times prior to it happening they would have been thought of as crazy.</p>
<p>Is There An Explanation for Premonitions?</p>
<p>Should things be automatically dismissed because they simply do not fit within the way that we think? There have been many different recordings of premonitions in history. Abraham Lincoln actually had a premonition about himself dying. Only ten days prior to dying he had a dream that he was mourning with people in the East Wing in the White House. He turned to a solider to ask who had died and the soldier said it was the president.</p>
<p>Have you heard about the book that was written in 1898, Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan? This book was written 14 years before the disaster of the Titanic. The book was about a ship called the Titan, which sank in the North Atlantic. The ship struck an iceberg &#8211; the ship had three propellers &#8211; it did not have enough lifeboats &#8211; it was the same size as the Titanic &#8211; all uncanny characteristics of the Titanic even down to the name.</p>
<p>Morgan Robertson wrote this book. How did it come about that the shipwreck so closely resembled one that would happen 14 years later? Regardless of what you call them, premonitions or visions, there seems to be similarities that the book shares with the actual sinking of the Titanic. Did the author of this book see the story told in a premonition and feel compelled to write the book?</p>
<p>It is possible that this question will never be answered. Only at their own pace will the mysteries that are found in the universe and the mind unfold. The things that will be shown to someone cannot be predicted.</p>

However, for some people dieting and exercising is almost next to impossible. The next option therefore is surgery. Generally there are four different types of surgery one can undergo. They all work essentially under the same principle: make you feel full faster while eating less by reducing capacity of food eaten.</p>
<p>The first procedure is what commonly known as &#8220;stomach stapling&#8221; or the Vertical Banded Gastroplasty (VBG). This procedure, although much safer than the gastric bypass (skipping the stomach altogether), it is irreversible and requires actual cutting and stapling of the stomach. Because of this, there&#8217;s an increase in complications and serious risk involved with this procedure. However, this procedure does have the advantage of not interfering with nutrition absorption and deficiencies.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s also the Biliopancreatic Diversion procedure. Again, another irreversible surgery. Essentially what happens is, a large part of your stomach is removed, and the remaining part is diverted straight to the final segment of the small intestine. Much of the food passes by the digestive system without being absorbed. This procedure requires not only stapling and cutting of the stomach and the bowels, but it also has the highest mortality rate out of all the procedures. Plus you will need life time mal-nutrition monitoring. However, it does achieve the most rapid weight loss out of all the procedures outlined.</p>
<p>We can&#8217;t forget the ever present gastric bypass. Your stomach would be stapled into a smaller pouch, reducing the amount of food you can store. This small pouch is then bypassed to the intestines. Not only would you eat less, but you also absorb less. This is a major surgery, and extremely difficult to reverse. Unfortunately this procedure is also highly correlated with dumping syndrome (where food goes past your system too fast, undigested, causing nausea and cramps). However, it does offer some of the fastest average weight loss than other procedures, along with rapid initial loss of weight.</p>
<p>The last, and safest surgery is the Laproscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding procedure, aka Lap-Band. It works under the same principle of reducing the amount of food you eat, by placing a limit on it. However, because it uses an adjustable band instead of stapling or removing portions of your digestive system, it is reversible. It is done via a laparoscope, meaning it is much less invasive than the other procedures, since small incisions are used. As a result, recovery time for the procedure is quick, and complications are minimized. Weight loss results are comparable with the other procedures, and again, this is completely reversible.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When people hear the word yoga, they think of somebody sitting in the louts position and possibly meditating while in that position. This discipline is more than just sitting with the feet on the thighs; it is a combination of physical and philosophical foundation for leading one&#8217;s life. The word comes from the ancient Sanskrit writings and translates in English to &#8220;royal union.&#8221; This basically means a union of the body and mind.</p>
<p>The ancient text that gives the basis for it is the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. This ancient text is made up of four books written over 2000 years ago. These books are the Sadhana Pada, Samadhi Pada, Kaivalya Pada and the Vibhuti Pada. The Sadhana Pada is where the physical pieces of yoga are to be found.</p>
<p>In this book, you will learn of the &#8220;eight limbs.&#8221; The limbs referred to here at in essence steps known as Ashtanga yoga. The first five limbs deal with the external and the remaining three are about the internal. Of the first five, the third is Asana and is all about the physical body. Its main idea is that the body needs to be kept disease-free and have a maintenance of energy. It is this book from which people in the west have learned of yoga and transformed it into its modernized, western form.</p>
<p>Asana is simply the plural from of the word asan which means posture or body position. The purpose of asana is to make improvements in vitality and flexibility and to promote meditation. Proponents of asana believe that doing the various positions opens the channels for physical and psychic energy in the human body. Any positions practiced should be held firmly and steadily while remaining comfortable.</p>
<p>This means that there should be no physical pain while in any of the positions. There are several poses that a person practicing the discipline may strike. These range from beginner poses to a more advanced level of positions.</p>
<p>No matter what your level of expertise is, there are a few fundamental concepts to always keep in mind. Any exercises should be done on an empty stomach. Your body should never quiver or shake because of too much pressure or force being exerted. It is important to always keep controlled breathing-no do hold your breath or gasp. At the end of each session, you will want to spend some time maintaining a state of deep relaxation.</p>
